The thirst project is an organization in American who helps to bring safe drinking water to communities around the world. The kind of problems the thirst project is trying to solve is trying to get people to donate and help their organization to build as many freshwater wells as possible and with this done that means an entire community of peoples lives can be saved and forever. When I come aware that theres a lack of clean accessible water I think of how fortunate I am to have water whenever and wherever I want when theres people in the world who have to travel miles maybe even days to just get a bucket of water for just one day for their families. Three things that can happen due to lack of water is you can get Parasites, Ringworms, and Malaria. I have yet never witness any lack of clean fresh water in my life but if ever do I will make a change and do something about it because everyone deserves to be treated the same.
We all know that water is the problem. It's as well the solution and even though it might seem like gathering freshwater isn't as expensive as it looks, the average cost to build a freshwater well in most nations its just as much as $7,800. With this done we can say that we saved an entire COMMUNITY of peoples lives. The solution we can do to this problem is to get schools to at least per student donate a $1 each and we can save many lives with many even all woking together we can end this and save many countries and peoples lives. The cost to get a pump is around $7.8k and we can all reach this goal if we work together with everyone involved good changes can happen and we can end this water problem. Some of the countries being helped by this organization are from between Uganda to Kenya. A way I can help is to start a club and speak if I get as many people involved in this organization involved I can really help this lack of fresh water imagining so many people saved by doing this. The way I raised my dollar was by collecting change that I had and started looking of more change until it made a dollar which i accomplished.
The organization the thirst project started off as high school and college students who heard about the problem of lack of fresh clean water and they though of solving this crisis through Education Outreach Programs that educate, who take action in projects that create radical and sustainable global change, and take consideration and give all the support needed for the positive values of life. I talked about this crisis to my friends and they were so surprised and they asked how they can help and they I told them by just donation a dollar they can make a change so that is why I bring $2 dollars to give to this organization. When I told my friends that by just giving a dollar can save a persons life of getting water I felt good that I was making a good choice and knowing that the dollar raised will make a dramatic change in someones life is something too feel proud of inside truly. People from third world countries will be vigorous and happy knowing that people around the world care about them, too be able donate money for someone else's needs out of empathy. This really caught my attention because now I understand that people in the world struggle through their daily life and I am beaming for what I have done.
